The entire day is dedicated to wildlife viewing in the Serengeti. After breakfast in the morning, we will transport you to Serengeti National Park, the third-largest national park in Tanzania. The Serengeti is renowned for hosting the Big Five and a variety of other animals. You will enjoy the game drive until lunchtime, allowing you to witness the diverse wildlife present in the park. After lunch, you will proceed with a game drive. Afterward, you’ll return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
On this day, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopards, which sometimes require a trained eye to spot. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here. In the late afternoon, you’ll transfer to the campsite for an overnight stay.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area is in northern Tanzania. It’s home to the vast, volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and the Big Five game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino). Huge herds of wildebeests and zebras traverse its plains during their annual migration. Livestock belonging to the semi-nomadic Maasai tribe graze alongside wild animals. Hominin fossils found in the Olduvai Gorge date back millions of years. In the afternoon, you’ll leave the national park and travel back to Arusha.
